Good metal roofing is just that, good. But what if you could be an exceptional metal roofing contractor? Many roofing manufacturers actually offer valuable training to their customers to help them level up their roofing business. In an episode of our Roofing Road Trips® podcast, we spoke with Jules Dekovics, national sale manager of EXCEPTIONAL® Metals, about the resources they have to offer contractors.
One of the top priorities roofing contractors should have is safety. Part of doing a good job installing a metal roof is doing so safely. That’s why EXCEPTIONAL Metals consistently encourages contractors installing their products to keep all the risks at the forefront of their minds.
“Our roofers and folks that are involved with this need to be careful, because everyone should go home at night,” Jules said. “It's very important that they're checking the roof out before they get on it. They have all their safety gear. All those types of things are really important to make sure, again, that everybody is safe going through this.”
EXCEPTIONAL Metals offers quality standing seam, perimeter and custom fabrication metal roof products. They also work directly with their customers to help them get the roof installed properly. Jules told us that they help them with a lot of back-office type work, including writing specifications and in-house product testing.
“Not only do they not have all the time to do this kind of stuff, there's a lot of testing and a lot of changes that happen every day in our industry, and it's our job to stay up on that,” Jules said. “We try to pass that along to the contractors so they can do what they do best, and that's be up on the roof and install a good roof, a safe roof, and one that's going to be protective to the owner.”
