The Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) designed this incredible conference to help all professionals in the industry, whether you work in commercial or residential, architecture or consulting, or some other part of the industry. Attendees can expect two days in St. Paul, Minnesota full of everything from educational sessions to charity auctions and more. Sponsored by industry leaders such as Malarkey Roofing Products, Johns Manville, Sika Liquid Applied Membranes, SOPREMA, KARNAK, Elevate, A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply, CertainTeed, Rackley Roofing Company, METALCON, our very own RoofersCoffeeShop® and more, this is the place to be!
1 – Educational sessions
Continuing education is not only a requirement for many contracting licenses, but a necessary part of staying competitive and up to date in the industry. Monday (October 21) and Tuesday (October 22) are chock full of opportunities to learn from leaders in the industry, such as Tracey Donels from Service First Solutions and Mark Graham, NRCA’s VP of technical services. Overall, there are three main categories of educational sessions: business development, general education and technical/safety education.
Visit the MRCA website to see the schedule of sessions and pick what you want to attend!
2 – Expo floor
With manufacturers and suppliers of all shapes and sizes, the expo floor is the perfect place to explore everything the industry has to offer. From watching product demos to learning about value-added services and getting introduced to innovative ideas about technology, there is no shortage of interesting things to explore. The CoffeeShops™ will be on the ground at booth #202, so make sure to stop and say hi!

3 – Special events
Last but not least, the MRCA Convention is excited to be hosting some special events! These are a great place to make connections with other professionals and just have some fun with your community. Events include a casino night, welcome reception, yoga class and more!
All of these will be incredible networking opportunities (and also a lot of fun), but the highlight of the special events might be the 2024 MRCA Black & White Ball Foundation Auction. Held in the Great River Ballroom at the Intercontinental Hotel on Tuesday, October 22, this auction raises money to support MRCA’s educational programs, industry research and scholarships. Last year, this event raised over $133,000! There will be a silent auction throughout the night (5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and a live auction at 6:45 p.m. You can sneak a peek at the items available online! There is also still time to support the work the MRCA Foundation does by donating an item or service!
For more information about the auction and the 2024 MRCA Convention and Expo, you can explore their website or listen to this episode of Roofing Road Trips® where MRCA’s president, VP and managing director discuss what can be expected this year!
