In an episode of the Darius Gant Show, CEO and Co-Founder of Rilla, Sebastian Jimenez, shared how the company helped retailers refine their strategies to better reach their customers and increase in-store sales using artificial intelligence.
As many stores took a hit during the 2020 pandemic, owners saw the decrease in in-store sales across their consumer bases. In an effort to increase in-store sales and better reach their target customer bases, businesses turned to Rilla’s insightful data analytic capabilities to find a solution.
By recording in-store conversations that sales associates and business owners were having with customers and then entering those recordings into the Rilla software to create comprehensive reports, businesses were able to find key conversations, phrases and talking points that led to positive customer interactions and sales. By weeding out these conversations and phrases from the unsuccessful ones, businesses could hone and harness the best strategies that led to success, saving them time and money from relying on faulty methods such as surveys and ads.
Sebastian shared that it was after recognizing that the conversations between customers and staff was where the real valuable insights were that Rilla’s genius was realized. “[Conversations] are data that are a thousand more times abundant and a hundred times faster for the fraction of the cost that companies are paying for in surveys,” he explained.
By taking field marketing, which is conversations that happen with customers, and imputing those recordings into Rilla software, companies can get much more data and accurate data at that.
“This form of data collection not only helps businesses make better decisions, but it literally makes your processes better and it helps reduce costs and increases revenue,” Sebastian shared.
