At the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) conference this past October 2023, Heidi J. Ellsworth from RoofersCoffeeShop® caught up with Michael Polizzi from A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply to discuss the company’s latest updates and experience at the tradeshow.
The RCAT 2023 conference took place in Houston, Texas, featuring contractors and professionals from across the state as they gathered to network and visit various booths on the tradeshow floor. While there, Heidi stopped by the A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply booth to find out what the brand had in store for the upcoming year and their experience at the conference.
Michael shared that they had gotten a great deal of traffic by their booth with attendees to discuss the importance of metal deck, showcasing the Metal Deck 101 packet they were handing out to attendees. These packets detailed the most important, need-to-know facts contractors who work in re-roofing need to know about metal decking and the different materials used in the process. For those not in attendance, the A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply Metal Deck 101 series is available on their website. He shared, “This is a collection of all of the most common topics about metal deck we see on a daily basis with contractors across the country. So, we put it all together so that you can go through it by topic one by one, we dive pretty deep into some spots like gauge types and the matching of obsolete profiles.”
As most contractors working with metal deck are re-roofing, some projects find that the old metal deck they are replacing are no longer being manufactured. This can be a real issue, as they now must find a similar profile to use as a replacement. This is where A.C.T. Metal Deck Supply comes in, helping their customers find a reliable new metal deck profile that is going to best replace the older product.
