Kick off the first quarter of 2025 by attending ServiceCon 2025, hosted by Centerpoint Connect! This two-day event will be held from March 12 to March 14, 2025 and is designed to bring professionals from across the industry together to maximize their service departments’ potentials. Hosted in Houston, Texas, attendees will have the opportunity to attend roundtable growth discussions, daily workshops and keynote presentations! One speaker for the event is Chad Westbrook, the founder of Service Alignment, who stopped by The Coffee Shops to talk about what professionals can expect from the event.
This is the second ever ServiceCon, with the first having been hosted in 2022. Chad is incredibly excited to be working with them this time around. He explained, “When it was presented to me, they didn't want this to be just another conference or another expo where you show up and a bunch of stuff gets thrown at you. And then you go home.” To avoid this, ServiceCon has been specifically designed to be as interactive and customizable for attendees as possible. There is an emphasis on using real-world problems, providing attendees with ServiceCon workbooks, which feature key scheduling and presentation information. Another way that ServiceCon works to make itself different from other expos is by focusing on implementation. Chad explained what this means, “This is a 2-day workshop for your business. You show up and will instantly have the ability to network with peers, learn from those who have accomplished some of your goals and others who just want to know where to start. It’s about taking home some actionable items that you know how to implement into your business.”
This is also what Chad is specifically presenting on, “I get to share how I help contractors implement the idea of service. Service is not something you do, this is part of your culture.” He was careful not to spoil anything about his presentation, called the Service Mindset. He did share that the original title was going to be Zero to One, but everyone he shared that with voted for the other title. Overall, the talk is going to be about starting a service division. He explained, “You have to understand if service is the driving force behind your business or the road to bigger and better things. Service will help you achieve both, but success is defined by the goal.”
