The post-frame construction industry is growing on the daily, and a lot of that growth can be attributed to the immense support the National Frame Building Association (NFBA) has provided. In a recent podcast, we got to speak with Megan Pope, executive director of the NFBA, and Robyn Ommen, the new president of the NFBA, about their involvement in the organization.
Robyn is the marketing communications manager for Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings but has recently taken on a new role with the NFBA as their president. In the podcast, she discusses how Sherwin-Williams has been working with the NFBA since the ‘90s and they love being a part of the association as a way of moving the metal construction industry forward.
“Another thing that I really am passionate about is women in post-frame,” Robyn says. “Being the first (woman) president of NFBA, it's something that I want to really see if we can push forward. We have amazing women that work in this industry, from suppliers to builders to every niche within there.”
Megan has been with the NFBA since 2019 and loves the work the association does for the post-frame construction industry. She describes their association as a nonprofit trade association that represents members of the post-frame industry. She also discusses their plans to launch their new research foundation at their upcoming expo.
“The NFBA Foundation, it's its own entity but it is affiliated with NFBA," Megan says. “The focus of the foundation is to fund research, anything that has to do with the post-frame industry, any projects that we want to take on... that'll be another thing that we developed during Robyn's presidency.”
