Just off the Route 72 causeway in Long Beach Island, passersby can witness the beautiful façade of the Hotel LBI. Inspired by early 1900s grand architectural designs, the hotel is reminiscent of a time when similar structures dotted the New Jersey coast in equal grandeur. The site of the Hotel LBI itself has been home to many hotels since those early days but was in need of renovation and modernization — resulting in being renovated from the ground up.
Hotel LBI is a luxury hotel with a gorgeous, unmistakable blue roof that draws the eyes even from a distance. The new project included this blue roofing from Drexel Metals, a brand that has built a name for themselves by focusing on sourcing American-made products. A trusted business for metal roofing systems and custom services, Drexel Metals has been making a difference in the industry since 1985.
With the help from certified installers from Kupex Exteriors, the aluminum roofing panels were installed. Made from a profile with a 1 ¾" seam height, the panels give the roof a unique and luxurious appearance. The beautiful blue metal roofing from Drexel Metals, the product which the brand refers to as DMC 175S in the shade “deep blue sea,” was installed across the main roof, secondary awnings and circular pavilions.
With the completion of this project, Hotel LBI represents a new beginning for the hospitality industry in Long Beach Island, as more and more hotels and buildings receive similar aesthetic uplifts to return the structures to the architectural design styles of days past.
