Inspiring the Future Leaders of Tomorrow

METALCON will host a variety of exciting learning opportunities for young professionals to participate in to hone their leadership skills.  

The 2023 METALCON convention will showcase hundreds of opportunities for attendees to network, learn and participate in unique opportunities they won’t find anywhere else! For those registered for METALCON in Las Vegas under the age of 40, they will be automatically signed up as a “METALCON Future Leader,” which will qualify them for special opportunities to learn and connect with other young minds across the various metal industries.  

Over the course of the three-day convention, these young professionals will be invited to join in on special education sessions and workshops designed to strengthen their leadership skills and understandings of the different metal industries.  

Tuesday, October 17, 2023 

METALCON Future Leaders are invited to take part in a special training certificate program based on the Metal Construction Association (MCA)’s Metal Roof Installation Manual. “Metal Roof Installation Training Certificate Program,” is an intensive, eight-hour course spread across two days in which participants will earn an MCA Metal Roofing Certificate of Completion.  

Wednesday, October 18, 2023 

For a unique perspective and understanding of rollforming equipment and the ways contractors utilize these machines in the metal construction industry, Future Leaders are invited to participate in the in-depth “Rollforming for the Metal Construction Industry, Part One,” workshop. This event will feature important presentations and demonstrations from industry experts and will take place in meeting room #227.  

Thursday, October 19, 2023 

On Thursday, METALCON Future Leaders can continue their participation in the special rollforming course with the “Rollforming for the Metal Construction Industry, Part Two,” workshop. For those interested in learning about all things metal roofing, “Metal Roofing From A (Aluminum) to Z (Zinc),” is an interactive workshop designed to give participants an introductory look at the various types of metal roofing materials, their uses and benefits.
