How to Elevate Your Roofing Business Using Visualization

Renoworks Elevate Your Roofing Business

By Adam Cabrera.

Improve customer experience, lead generation and dwell time on your website with the simple addition of a visualizer.

In a recent MetalCast podcast, Brad Finck, senior vice president of Renoworks, shared key insights on how visualization can benefit your roofing business and aid customers in decision making. With an array of tools and techniques, visualization is changing how contractors engage with customers, thereby boosting sales and enhancing online presence.

Brad explained that Renoworks, a company specializing in visualization solutions, has evolved its technology from a simple desktop app to a sophisticated online tool. "We've been doing visualization for quite a number of years, but we have seen certainly a rapid change in the way it's being used," Brad said. One of Renoworks' core objectives is to help clients visualize what specific manufacturer's products will look like on their construction projects. This enables contractors to provide an immersive, interactive experience for homeowners.

But how does visualization actually benefit contractors? For starters, visualization tools can be embedded directly onto a contractor's website. This allows customers to upload pictures of their properties and see how different products would look. According to Brad, "A visualizer makes perfect sense for their website." The benefits are threefold: improved user experience, extended time spent on the website and increased lead generation.

Brad also discussed the two primary types of visualization which can be either image-based or 3D modeling. Image-based visualization superimposes products onto photos of the customer's property, whereas 3D modeling offers an interactive 3D view. Both these technologies empower contractors to offer a wide range of product options sourced directly from manufacturer catalogs.

Moreover, Renoworks has taken visualization mobile. During on-site sales calls, contractors can utilize mobile-responsive visualizers to quickly capture property photos and display how various products will look, giving a more professional presentation. Brad affirms that "the return on investment's always there."
