There’s a lot of moving parts in the metal industry, which is one of the reasons Sherwin-Williams put together the MetalVue Program. In this MetalTalk™ webinar, Dominic Caminata of Grosso University and Mark MacDonald from Sherwin-Williams stopped by to talk to Heidi J. Ellsworth about the first step to this program — the Dealer Portal.
Overall, the MetalVue Program focuses on helping grow sales in the metal roofing industry, for both contractors and manufacturers. Mark explained, “Sherwin-Williams has created a service platform to enable our trusted manufacturers to service the multi-billion-dollar market with tens of thousands of contractors across the United States.” In operation, MetalVue is a network that individuals and businesses can tap into to get help with a myriad of different things, including onboarding, business and sales training, lead generation, labor acquisition, visualization, financial management, installation training and networking opportunities.
The Dealer Portal is the access point for this entire suite of metal roofing resources. Dominic explained, “The Dealer Portal is an online platform of video content and literature and documentation that outlines in detail all the services and technologies that are available to contractors through the MetalVue program.”
To get involved with MetalVue, there are two main routes. For contractors, there is a great opportunity to try out the portal and see what it can do for you in seven days. Heidi elaborated, “A recording to this MetalTalk will be available within 24 hours on MetalCoffeeShop® under MetalTalk, under the Read Listen Watch® (RLW) initiative, where you can get the free trial.” Dominic elaborated on what can be expected out of this trial, “At the dealer level, the contractor level, we're going to make sure that any sales training tools in-home presentation at the end of the day is going to be built specifically for you.”
If you are a manufacturer or have a manufacturer you love working with that is not listed in the MetalVue Program and carries Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings products, reach out to Sherwin-Williams! Dominic explained that they always want to build a bigger and stronger network, “Bring these metal manufacturers to the table and we'd love to make them a part of this. This is just the beginning, and we fully intend to bring in a lot more people on board to, again, have a whole different level of professionalism and service to the metal roofing market.”
