With the 2023 METALCON expo coming up just around the corner, it’s time to start making plans to attend this must-see event in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 18-20! In an episode of the MetalCast podcast, host Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with METALCON’s trade show vice president, Judy Geller, to discuss the exciting festivities attendees won’t want to miss and the unique experiences this year’s expo has in store.  

This year’s expo will feature a variety of learning opportunities designed to highlight metal in design and construction in a fun and engaging way. Judy discussed the education and learning opportunities that will be available on the show floor over the course of the expo. “We have a best practices learning zone, a technical know-how learning zone and there's a sustainability learning zone. And then we have an architect's experience area for architects,” Judy shared. “And in those zones that are located on the show floor, we cover everything. Whether you are fully seasoned in metal or you're looking to expand your business and you need advice, strategies, best practices and some technical help, you're going to get it at METALCON.” 

The best way to experience these interactive educational sessions is to sign up for the “Total Experience” registration package, Judy shared. This package includes access to all of the educational experiences on the show floor, which will feature the learning zones and over 200 company booths that are exhibiting this year. For those looking for further educational opportunities, this year’s METALCON will feature a new workshop experience. 

“We're also adding something different to the workshop lineup this year. PSMJ, which is the company that owns half of Telecom along with the MCA, is bringing in a mergers and acquisitions workshop, just because there is so much of that going on in the industry, they do it every day for architectural firms,” Judy shared. “So, they're going to come and do a special workshop and do some one-on-one consulting on-site.”
