Building up a career and an industry

WTI Building up a Career
May 21, 2024 at 6:00 a.m.

By Emma Peterson.

Learn about how Tremco enables Nicole to have the career of her dreams and give back to the community at the same time!

Meet Nicole Buckley, Tremco Roofing and Weatherproofing Technologies Incorporated (WTI)'s northeast regional administrator! She has worked there for over seven years now and is focused on helping make the region better and improving the region’s stance in the company. She described her view of the industry, saying, “It is always going to adapt, change and try and use better products. Everything is forever changing and it's always changing for the better. These changes and improvements challenge my role and push me as an individual to learn and grow with and within the industry.” Her role has her wearing many different hats. Nicole does everything from handling material orders from technicians in the field to equipment renting to travel coordination.

She wanted to highlight one of the programs she oversees in particular — the boot program! This is a program that helps contractors and technicians get outfitted with the proper apparel and footwear for the job. Nicole explained that they originally were working with another company but began partnering with Boot Barn because “they have thousands of locations throughout the entire country and service Puerto Rico as well, which is a huge portion of our internal regions.”

This program works by offering their internal field support contractors codes with Boot Barn that gets them $100 off of brand-new boots. Nicole explained the details, “If they purchase boots below $100, that's great. If they purchase boots that are above, they'll just have to pay the difference, and they also get a 15% discount on all items that are in the store as long as they tell them that they work for Tremco.” Nicole is incredibly proud of this program and the good it does for their technicians and contractors in the field.

Even with her busy schedule, she makes sure to take time for herself and wanted to note how her company and remote position support this, sharing, “Working at Tremco doesn't consume you, and there's no travel going into work and that's awesome. Being a part of an amazing team and always having support and encouragement makes Tremco such a dynamic organization to work for and I am so grateful to be a part of that.” All in all, Nicole sees Tremco as her career and is excited to see where Tremco takes her
