As each season passes, there is a new weather concern to keep an eye on. From severe hail to wildfires to hurricanes and other weather events, there are a lot of situations that home and building owners must prepare their properties for. Luckily, there are many ways that contractors can step in and help consumers protect their homes using the latest roofing innovations. In this MetalTalk™ webinar, Karen Edwards hosts Cody Raymond and Lindsey Riddle of Westlake Royal Roofing Solutions to discuss these challenges and the options available for mitigating the damages. 

Lindsey and Cody are both territory sales managers for Westlake. They have seen their share of weather events in their home states with Lindsey based in Florida and Cody in Utah. Their conversation with Karen will include an explanation of proactive decisions, such as ensuring that the installed products have a Class 4 Impact Resistant rating and a high wind warranty. These types of high-performance product installation are key to helping the consumer’s building survive the storm. It is key that contractors train their crews with extreme weather resources to ensure that the right products are installed correctly.  

While the duo is focused on what contractors can do to prepare consumers for these weather events, they make sure to cover what home and building owners need to know as well. This includes insurance information and the creation of a disaster response plan. Additionally, they discuss building contractor-consumer relationships in order to make the process of repairs smoother in the aftermath of a storm.
