Celebrate the roofing industry through the eyes of a child in "My Mum's a Roofer," a beautifully illustrated children's book written by Martin Finney, illustrated by Kata Bagyon-Parker, created in collaboration with NZ Women in Roofing (NZWiR).
This heartwarming story follows a child who admires their mum as she navigates her roofing apprenticeship, showcasing the challenges and triumphs of the trade. With 32 pages, including 16 pages of stunning watercolor illustrations, "My Mum's a Roofer" highlights the skills, dedication, and pride of the roofing profession, inspiring young readers to appreciate all careers.
The book features te reo Māori on every page, enriching the story with cultural significance and promoting bilingual learning.

We invite you to nominate a woman working within the roofing industry for this opportunity now! New Zealand Women in Roofing (NZWiR) is offering a scholarship program for two women to attend the Roofing Association of New Zealand (RANZ) annual conference in July 2023
This also incorporates the. This program is designed to encourage first-time attendees to experience the benefits of professional development in the roofing industry. Attendance at these events can influence one’s career trajectory and benefit not just the attendee, but her company/employer as well.
The annual RANZ Conference provides opportunities to participate in sessions with guest speakers covering Health and Safety, Business Development, Contract Law, Technical Advancements and much more in between. It also provided the opportunity to meet with the industry specialists at the trade show.
