Mark Standifer is a 1985 Texas A&M graduate, having earned a Bachelors of Science in Building Construction. Upon graduation he went to work for Metal Systems Incorporated. Notable projects while at MSI include the St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Dallas, the Coptic Church in Richardson (domed roofs and barrel vault roofs), the Islamic Mosque in Richardson (domed roofs), the Caravan of Dreams (now called the Reatta Restaurant) Copper Awning in Fort Worth, numerous DART Bus Shelters and Train Stations (barrel vault roofs), the Embassy Suites in Frisco, the Hotel and Outbuildings at Texas Motor Speedway, and the Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine. Mark then went to work for Ramon Franklin after MSI closed their doors in 2010. While working at Ramon Franklin, he received the Metal Construction Associations Director’s Design Excellence award for the Zinc Roof and Siding on the Legacy ER in Plano. Mark joined King of Texas in 2015. Working with KOT, he and the team provided the Barrel Vault Roofs on the Life Church in Dallas and the custom colored Wall Panels on the Equinox Fitness in Plano. He was also a 2019 mentor for the Texas A & M in the Roofing Alliance Student Competition team, a roofing competition for universities with a Construction Science / Construction Management program. Mark is currently semi-retired and consulting for metal roofing, walls and sheetmetal shops.
