Digital visualization is becoming a game-changer for contractors and consumers in the metal industry. In a recent MetalTalk webinar host Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Brad Finck from Renoworks, a leading company in visualization solutions, to discuss how this technology is benefiting metal contractors, building owners and homeowners alike.
Brad explained that 80% of homeowners struggle to visualize how different metal products like roofing or siding will look on their homes. To combat this, Renoworks offers two types of visualization: photo-based and 3D modeling. While photo-based options help homeowners connect emotionally to what their homes could look like, 3D modeling offers contractors a detailed view for providing accurate quotes.
"You can set the expectation, put that homeowner at ease, make sure that the selections that they're making they're comfortable with," Brad said. This functionality proves to be useful in both remote consultations and in-person meetings. The tool helps contractors educate homeowners, smooths out the decision-making process and sometimes even enables contractors to upsell higher-quality products.
“It really adds an extra level of professionalism,” Brad said. “Because now you're really going to come across not only an industry expert, but you're able to showcase and show exactly what you were explaining.”
Another significant advantage is that these visualization tools can easily integrate into a contractor’s website. This feature not only enhances a contractor's online presence but also generates leads. Homeowners can upload photos of their own homes and try out various products, thus establishing a preliminary connection with the contractor.
