Every year, the Metal Construction Association (MCA) publishes an annual report to celebrate their members’ efforts and achievements throughout the year. Through this digital publication they showcase the members, leaders and work that make them so powerful. It is also a great platform to help spread the word about their advocacy and the technical resources they provide, as well as highlighting the benefits of joining this and other associations across the industry.
One of the hallmarks of the year was recognizing their 40th anniversary at the 2023 Winter Meeting with the MCA 40th Dinner and Awards celebration. Founded in 1983, MCA has been at the forefront of promoting the best use of metal in construction, advocating for industry standards and providing valuable resources to roofing professionals. From humble beginnings with eight founding companies to becoming a thriving association, they reflected on their history and achievements over the years.
In 2023, they also introduced the MCA Scholarship Program, providing educational opportunities for roofing professionals and their families. This initiative underscores their commitment to investing in the future of the industry and supporting the professional development of their members.
METALCON, the premier event for the metal construction industry, was another huge success and has been instrumental in fostering growth and collaboration within the community. Not only did the exhibit hall showcase over 250 exhibitors this year, but MCA also presented a well-attended state of the industry session and a demonstration of Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) best practices. Through METALCON, MCA members have access to discounted exhibit space, networking opportunities and valuable educational sessions.
You can download the full annual report to share with your colleagues, employer and other industry contacts to help us spread the word about MCA’s advocacy, technical resources and benefits. Here’s to 40 more years of innovation, collaboration and success in the metal construction industry!
