Smart Order is changing the roofing game by merging cutting-edge technology with practical business solutions. The partnership between Beacon and EagleView brings a seamless integration of advanced measurement data into the ordering process, transforming it from a manual, time-consuming task into a streamlined, automated experience. “We’re seeing the adoption of almost all roofing companies now into the technology space,” Mike notes, expressing the shift towards digital solutions. Smart Order leverages EagleView’s aerial data to precisely calculate material needs, drastically reducing the guesswork that contractors often face. 

Will explains that the Smart Order experience goes beyond a typical e-commerce platform. It offers a 24/7 self-service portal that allows contractors to access everything from order templates to real-time data integration. “On the surface, it is a business-to-business e-commerce platform... but beyond that, really what it is, is a 24/7 piece point of access between Beacon and the customer,” Will explains, demonstrating its role in providing constant, reliable support. 

One of the standout features discussed is the elimination of repetitive tasks. As Mike points out, “People are actually running away from solutions where they have to double enter stuff.” With Smart Order, once the EagleView report is synced, it populates the necessary data into the order template, cutting down on repetitive manual entries and significantly boosting efficiency. 

A major advantage of Smart Order is its ability to save contractors time and reduce errors. Mike remarks, “It’s amazing how much easier and more accurate [technology] has become... It’s really helped the roofers scale their business to be more profitable.” This sentiment is echoed by Will, who explains the platform’s ability to handle complex calculations that typically require extensive industry knowledge.
