In the first-ever episode of MetalCoffeeShop’s MetalCast, Heidi J. Ellsworth speaks with Mark MacDonald, from Sherwin-Williams' coil division, to uncover all the benefits that MetalVue has to offer. It is hard to escape the fact that the popularity of metal is rapidly increasing. For contractors and manufacturers, it’s not always easy to stay on top of this never-before-seen increase in demand. This is where MetalVue comes in. “MetalVue is a way for contractors who maybe do little to no metal, or maybe a little bit, to make more money with metal,” explains Mark.
If you’re a contractor looking to do more with metal, this is the way to do it. It only takes a few simple steps to get involved with MetalVue. First, reach out to Sherwin-Williams or a participating manufacturer. “The number one thing that [contractors are] looking for is an OEM or a manufacturer who's going to service them in a way that they need to be serviced.”
If you contact Sherwin-Williams, they will set you up with a participating manufacturer. This manufacturer will provide your contracting service with all your metal needs. From here, communicate about what metal systems you want to offer (good, better or best). The manufacturer will then train representatives from your contracting service on how to sell their metal products. Finally, when you have an agreement with a manufacturer, you will gain access to MetalVue resources.
MetalVue allows contractors easy access to metal training resources in sales and installation. This guidance gives your business strategy a boost. “We've partnered with industry leaders, Grosso University,” shares Mark. “Rick Grosso started this whole shebang decades ago. And we are proud partners of Grosso University. Additionally, you've got the Certified Contractors Network.” An extensive list of other Sherwin-Williams partners will help your contracting company with processes like sales, measuring, bidding, installation, recruiting, digital visualization and business process integration.
It is easier than ever for contractors to start their journey with metal. MetalVue is your one-stop shop for fulfilling this need.
