SmartBuild Systems showcases cutting-edge solutions at METALCON 2023

We caught up with Keith Dietzen of SmartBuild Systems at METALCON in Las Vegas who provided insights into the company's experience at the show and highlighted some of their company’s key innovations.  

At this year’s METALCON show, we spoke with Kieth Dietzen, CEO of SmartBuild Systems, about their thoughts on the show and the metal construction industry overall. Kieth expressed satisfaction with the show, stating, "It's been a great show for us. Really good. We got a lot of good leads. I'm very tickled today. Very pleased." 

When asked about standout booths, Dietzen mentioned two, with a special shoutout to the MetalCoffeeShop and the educational efforts of Sherwin-Williams' MetalVue. However, his ultimate favorite was the SmartBuild booth, where he discussed the company's two flagship offerings. 

SmartBuild Systems offers the Roofing Passport, a collaborative effort with EagleView and Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings, allowing them to generate bids for metal re-roofing jobs in approximately three minutes. Kieth emphasized the positive reception of this solution, stating, "That's been really well received. And we're moving forward on that." 

Keith also shed light on SmartBuild's building design software, which provides comprehensive design solutions for all types of metal buildings, including metal frames. He said, "We debuted our ability to design barndominium interiors. And that's the rage, and so we're giving our customers that capability. And they're just loving it." 

While SmartBuild won't be present at the International Roofing Expo (IRE), Keith highlighted METALCON as one of their top choices for tradeshows, emphasizing the show's significance in their trade show schedule. “My digestion rate for trade shows stops at about four per year,” he said. “And so I make METALCON one of them because it's a really great show.”
