In 2024, while at the International Roofing Expo (IRE), MetalForming introduced the new Schechtl MAX-F machine. This machine brings some unique and powerful new features to the market. Chad Rowe, one of the distributor’s sales representatives, explained, “This is 10-foot, 16 gauge with our all-new geometry and a new control system.” Schechtl has long been a leader with their graphics and easy-to-use control systems and this new program does not let anyone down. Chad showed off the system, explaining, “With today’s technology we can now rotate the part, spin it so we can see exactly where the color side is, which side is up and which side is down. We can even get real time graphics of where the part is positioned inside the machine while it’s moving.”
In addition to the release of new machines, those interested in Schechtl in 2024 can get select machines upgraded to include conical bending! This upgrade comes in the form of the conical back gauge that can be installed to machines with motorized swivel bending and CNC control, like the MAX-F. This also includes the MAX, MAB, MAF, MAZ and MAE.
Conical bending, otherwise known as tapered bending, is mainstay in the sheet metal industry due to the unique architectural aesthetics along with the functionality and adaptability of the shapes it creates. The general Schechtl back gauge line is known for its ability to eliminate the time-consuming processing steps on the construction site when it comes to producing numerous sheet metal profiles. The Schechtl’s simplified production methods means it is ideal for applications where the edge lines required do not run parallel, such as with gutters, eaves plates and covers.
You can get free installation and training from MetalForming on new Schechtl purchases between May 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024. Contact your MetalForming sales person for details.
