"Leading the MBMA is a great honor and privilege,” says Christen. “The next two years will offer many opportunities as well as challenges for our industry. I am looking forward to helping the organization grow and I will actively continue to promote its leading roles in the metal building systems industry.”
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Christen Funk as the next MBMA chair and the first female chair in the association’s history,” adds Tony Bouquot, MBMA general manager. “The MBMA has a host of initiatives and endeavors that are helping move our industry forward. I am looking forward to working with Christen who will keep us a leader, focusing on metal building systems research, education and advocacy.”
Metal building systems account for nearly 30% of all low-rise commercial construction in the U.S., and MBMA’s leadership has helped to grow the use and acceptance of this popular building type. Under the direction of the board and through its committees, MBMA and its members invest thousands of hours each year to ensure MBMA continues to lead and advance metal building design and construction.
