It’s Never Too Early to Prepare for METALCON 2023

Here’s what we are looking forward to at this year’s METALCON in Las Vegas. 

The 2023 METALCON may not be until October 18-20, but we here at RPS Metal Roofing & Siding feel that it’s never too early to prepare for this show! METALCON is the biggest convention for the metal construction industry, and we are highly anticipating this year’s show. Here’s what to expect at the 2023 METALCON: 

Location and dates 

Registration for METALCON 2023 is now open, with pre-show workshops beginning on Tuesday, October 17. The location is the Las Vegas Convention Center, right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. As noted, this year’s duration is from the 4 to the 6 of October. That means you have enough time to register, prepare, set off, explore the city and attend the various sessions and events scheduled throughout the conference. 

Expect industry-leading exhibitors 

You can expect the best minds in the industry to be in attendance, with the event featuring an impressive range of exhibitors. You’ll find the best metal manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and contractors all congregating this year. As an attendee, you’ll have the opportunity to see some of the latest products and services while connecting with top-of-the-shelf experts in the field. 

Educational sessions and workshops 

METALCON 2023 will feature educational sessions and workshops covering various topics relevant to the metal construction industry. Top experts in the field will lead these sessions, providing attendees with valuable insights into the latest trends and best practices regarding metal construction. Regardless of how much you believe you know about metal construction and design, there’s still more knowledge, tips, hacks and information to acquire.  

The METALCON Training Zone 

A new feature of this year’s event is the METALCON Training Zone. This is sponsored by Sherwin-Williams and is set to take place on the show floor. John Sheridan of Sheridan Metal Resources will lead this workshop with his team of experts. And the main target of this training is to provide hands-on training for attendees with demonstrations using various materials, including copper, zinc, aluminum, painted steel and various mock-ups. The workshop (in English and Spanish) will focus on detailing and using tools to improve attendees’ skills when installing various metal roof offerings and systems. 

Mergers & Acquisitions Essentials Workshop 

Another new feature this year will be the Mergers & Acquisitions Essentials Workshop, to be presented by Karl Wolker, a renowned expert. This workshop will focus on helping those who want to grow their metal works business. Strategies like mergers, acquisitions, structuring win-win transactions, successful integrations, and many others will be discussed, all aimed at helping attendees grow their businesses and preserving their hard-won equity and legacy.  

Other opportunities 

METALCON is expected to introduce a new tiered pricing system this year. You can also buy the Value Pass in-depth workshops offering more detailed training sessions. While at it, expect The Architect’s Experience to return this year, along with The METALCON Top Products Awards. There’s also an opportunity to learn industry best practices, tech solutions and sustainability in this year’s Learning Zones.  

Networking opportunities 

You can’t miss the opportunity to connect with other professionals in the industry. The conference will offer endless networking opportunities, including receptions, social events and meet-and-greet sessions. Attendees will share ideas and learn from each other while building valuable relationships.
