BuiltWorlds has announced the winners of the 2023 Maverick Awards, recognizing 50 individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their fields. The award recipients represent a diverse group, including architects, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, technologists, investors and pioneers in off-site fabrication and on-site robotics, including ToolBelt’s CEO Joshua Engelbrecht.
As trendsetters and innovative thinkers in their respective fields, the 2023 Mavericks have been selected for their achievements in companies worldwide, showcasing a commitment to innovation across the built environment’s extensive network. Many of the Mavericks are also part of the BuiltWorlds Network, where members can connect and engage with one another.
The selection of the Mavericks is based on research conducted by BuiltWorlds, which aims to pinpoint professionals making a significant impact on the industry. The announcement not only honors these individuals but also serves as a resource for others in the field to learn from their pioneering approaches and methodologies.
And Joshua has done just that through his free mobile app, ToolBelt. Joshua served in the Army for six years and graduated in the top 10% of all training schools. After his service, he started ToolBelt to help connect people and subcontractors with builders and remodelers. ToolBelt has launched nationwide and continues to grow and adapt to the changes of the ever-evolving industry.
ToolBelt shared, “Congratulations to ToolBelt CEO, Joshua Engelbrecht for receiving the distinguished BuiltWorlds 2023 Mavericks Award. Josh definitely leads our team and the industry with foresight and innovation — well done!”
To celebrate these achievements, BuiltWorlds will host a Mavericks Reception following the Americas Summit in September. This event provides a unique opportunity for the winners to be recognized for their contributions and to network with peers in one collaborative space.
