RCS interviews FlashCo LIVE! at FRSA for a conversation on their exponential growth and success.

Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with southeast sales rep for FlashCo Robbie Boland live at FRSA to discuss prefabrication. In today’s modern roofing industry, contractors are hungry for solutions to the labor shortage, always looking to increase productivity on the roof and cut down on install times. Luckily, FlashCo has been delivering exactly those kinds of solutions for years.

In an industry that is coping with a shortage of skilled labor, prefabricated accessories are offering a better installation that not only saves the roofing company time and labor, but money. “Our founder, Greg Morrow, is all about getting everything done quickly,” says Bobbie. “Doing it right, but getting quotes quickly, quick deliveries and a two or three-day turnaround.”

The value proposition of prefab is undeniable. Prefabricated accessories reduce the reliance on labor in the art of field fabrication which requires higher skilled labor and experience. Flashings a no-brainer to any contractor looking to improve their performance while installing faster.

“We're always looking at ways to help the contractor be quicker and faster and increase their production so that they can make more money,” says Robbie.

While accessories are often the last thing contractors think about on the job, it cannot be denied that they are an essential part of any rooftop. “We're a vital part of the roof because where most failures occur are on the metal where there's edge metal, which we manufacture, and then it flashing to roof penetration,” says Robbie. “So we are always looking for ways to be watertight, and also help the contractor put things in quicker. So we're trying to do that.”

With so much investment into contractor success and providing no-brainer solutions that help ease the strain of shortages, it is no wonder that FlashCo continues to grow.

“We're just gonna keep doing what we are doing to grow and continue to be successful,” says Bobby. “I expect that within a few years, we theoretically, if things go well, we could continue to be blessed, we could be twice the size we are now.”
