Are you a member of the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC), or looking to become one? You won’t want to miss their annual meeting this year at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. On June 5, 2024, join the CRRC community as they come together to learn about the latest in cool surfaces. You’ll have the chance to socialize with fellow attendees and gain invaluable insights around the CRRC’s technical, educational and international activities. CRRC members can also participate in the annual Board election. Early bird registration is open until March 1, 2024, so register now to take advantage of the exclusive rates!  

As this is the CRRC’s biggest event of the year, make sure you take advantage of every moment and join them bright and early for a continental breakfast when you sign in. The morning session will feature CRRC presentations with organizational and program updates, presentation of the Marty Hastings Award and the Board of Directors election. Grab a seat with someone new when you break for lunch, then make sure you have a pen and notebook when you sit down for the guest speaker presentations in the afternoon.  

Guest speakers will be presenting on cooling from the ground up. First, hear from Google’s Mansi Kansal and Dr. David Forkas they describe “Planning Cooler Cities With Google's Cool Roofs Tool.” Next, Dr. Ray Fernando from California Polytechnic State University takes the stage to discuss “Solar Reflective Coatings for Exterior Applications.” Lastly, Ryan Stevens from the Street Transportation Department for the City of Phoenix presents the “Phoenix Cool Pavement Program.”   

The meeting ends by 4:00 p.m. but don’t hurry off! Stick around for a complimentary evening of drinks, hors d’oeuvres and networking. Catch up with old friends and new and be sure to stay for the raffle!
