Checking in with MBCI and Metal Depots at FRSA 2023!

Rigo Hernandez shares his experience working with MBCI and Metal Depots as well as the exciting things they have in store for this year!  

At the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) conference this past July, Karen Edwards from RoofersCoffeeShop® and Rigo Hernandez from Reed’s Metals, a sister company of MBCI and Metal Depots, sat down to discuss the markets these companies serve and how they’re working to meet customer expectations and needs.  

“MBCI is a manufacturing brand that primarily serves contractors and architects in the U.S., so it’s a national brand with a widespread footprint across the United States, and I think having that national footprint is very important to get things quickly and not having to wait a long time,” Rigo shared. As a prior employee of MBCI, he had great insight to the primary customers they worked with. “MBCI provides a suite of metal roofing and wall panels for any sort of use, so there are panels great for architectural uses... as well as agricultural panels great for farms and ranches, those kinds of things.” 

For the average home or business owner looking for materials, Metal Depots is the right company to work with. “Metal Depots is a retail direct brand, so there are ten stores across the United States that will sell directly to customers. So, you’re able to go to a Metal Depots store and pick up whatever you may need,” Rico explained.  

An interesting new feature Metal Depots has started doing for their customers is that they now supply customers with quick and accurate roof systems quotes over the phone or in store.
