For over twenty-five years, MetalForming has been dedicated to providing their customers with the best and most innovative and reliable metal folding machinery on the market. Since joining the company earlier this year as Vice President of Architectural Sales, Ken McLauchlan has placed an emphasis on continuing that focus on innovation and customer-centric strategies for delivering products their customers need. On an episode of the MetalCast podcast, Ken sat down with Heidi J. Ellsworth to discuss MetalForming’s dedication to finding solutions for their customer needs that aren’t currently being met.
Ken comes from an extensive background in the industry, having worked with MetalForming in past jobs as a customer, and he was impressed with their dedication to finding solutions that fit each client's need. Speaking of the leadership that he worked with in the past and is still with the company today, Ken said, “If there was an opportunity to excel, they had a great way of finding it. They were never scared to get on a limb and say, ‘Hey, here's an opportunity, this is what we can do to help you. What are your thoughts?’ And that belief is still present today with the new management. So, it's been a great experience for me to have customer experience and then move into working as part of their team.”
Today, Ken and his team are continuing that drive for innovation and problem solving with their latest product launch, which will be unveiled at the upcoming METALCON convention in Las Vegas this October 18-20, 2023. They hope the new material handling system they have in store will revolutionize their customers’ daily productivity capacity.
Being able to deliver cutting-edge machinery to customers wishing to take charge of their own production levels is a great goal, one that MetalForming is providing for their customers, whether their businesses are big or small. Ken pointed out that, for the business looking to elevate their game and incorporate metal in a particular way, MetalForming is that partner to step up and find a solution that works with their specific needs.
The new system being unveiled at METALCON came to be from listening to customer needs and feedback. “What we have is a material handling system that gives the industry the strength it needs with a product that a regular contractor can use every day on every aspect of his business. It works within the parameters that we've been asked for,” Ken explained. “We listen to the contractor when they walk into the booth or when they call us on the phone and they say, ‘Hey listen, I need this,’ and we're like, ‘Hey, we really don't have that,’ and with our partners that we have, we've talked about what we should do, where we should go next and our machinery partners have listened.”
