A Chance to Show Off Your Metal Roofing Skills

The submission deadline for the 2020 DECRA Metal Roofing Project of the Year is approaching fast!

The 2020 DECRA Metal Roofing Project of the Year is accepting submissions now through December 1, 2020. If you are a metal roofing contractor or have done a metal roofing project within the year of 2020 don’t hesitate to submit your work through the DECRA Metal Roofing website before it’s too late.

This year’s winner will receive a Swenson Shear Stone Coat Cutter often referred to as “the Swenson utility knife.” It is a portable, lightweight tool that has many uses including being able to cut through stone-coated roofing materials like flat or folded sheet metal up to 14 GA.

In addition to the Swenson Shear Stone Coat Cutter, the winner’s project will be featured in a DECRA case study and mentioned in the DECRA Metal Roofing Project of the Year press release. The winner will also receive endorsements and promotions through the DECRA Metal Roofing website and social media outlets, as well as acquire a DECRA Metal Roofing Project of the Year plaque.

The judging process will include an evaluation from an internal DECRA team as well as online voting through Facebook. The DECRA judges will choose six finalists based on the project’s complexity, uniqueness and craftsmanship. Once the finalists are chosen, DECRA will hand the decision off to the Facebook voters who will determine the winner.

Two requirements for this competition are that the submission must be received by December 1, 2020 and the project  must have been completed during 2020.

• Submissions made and accepted from October 26 – December 1

• Finalists determined by DECRA team by December 4

• Facebook voting from December 7 – 14

• The winner announced on December 15
